OWRD Open House
OWRD Rulemaking Open House – Community Input Opportunity
The Oregon Water Resources Department (OWRD) is hosting a free public open house on proposed updates to Oregon's water regulations. Topics include definitions of water waste, system bulges, exemptions, violations, penalties, and recent legislative changes that could affect how water laws are administered throughout the state.
Because these proposed rules may directly impact irrigation districts, agricultural operations, and water users, this is an important opportunity for patrons to learn more about the changes under consideration and provide feedback. Agricultural producers and water users bring valuable firsthand knowledge about how regulations function in practice, and your participation can help ensure that proposed rules are informed by on-the-ground experience and the realities of managing water in Oregon.
